Mission 1

The Grey Legion - a Dragonborn: Saronge, a Goliath Vantasner, and a Tabaxi Shadow - is in Phlan, a town in Faerun.

We are staying at Madame Friona's Teakettle, a place where people can escape the power hungry and double talk of most of Phlan.

One evening Friona's daughter - Reece comes upstairs as we ready for bed and tells us to come downstairs to meet a man about moving some coin. The hooded man says he is from the Harpers and Shadow notices he has the silver and blue Harper insignia confirming it.

He tells us the Harpers have captured a merchant silver dragonborn that was going to buy a red dragon egg. Saronge, as a silver dragonborn herself is supposed to pose as said merchant and go to the exchange, buy the egg with fake diamonds, and place a magical tracking pin on one of the sellers. If we return to the stables behind Madame Friona's with the egg the Harpers will give us 200gp.

The exchange is supposed to happen in 30 minutes, so we gather our gear and head to the drop point. There we meet up with an elf and 3 bodyguards. We successfully trade and even mark one of the humans with the pin, but when we turn to leave, a flashbang goes off and we are faced with a half orc that says he's from the Welcomers - Phlan's Thief Guild - threatening to take the egg from us. The sellers flee with their fake diamonds and we face off against the thieves on our own.

Barely surviving the dangerous attackers, we make our way back to Friona's, battered and bloodied. Meeting the Harper in the stables, we show him the corpse of the half-orc, but he says that he is just an ordinary member of the Thieves Guild, though he does curse that they found out about the sale. When the Harper checks the dragon egg, he curses again since it turns out to be fake as the diamonds. Still we did as requested, so he gives us he promised 200 gold and thanks us for the help and tells us to be on the lookout for more information about dragons.
