Garuum

Introduction

The PCs met Garuum and his Slurk Ubagub during the events of Session 6 in the marshy forrest of E17. Garuum can only speak a few limited words of common and therefore communication must take place via mystical means (Share Language, etc).

History

Garuum is of the Hooktongue Slough clan somewhere from to the west of here. He wanted to challenge the priest-king's right to rule, but despite feasting on the sacred dragonflys, he lost. The Priest-king publicly humiliated and tortured Garuum. While he was imprisoned and waiting execution, Garuum crushed his hand to escape his restraints. He freed himself and Ubagub, his Slurk

Garuum has taken up residence in the ruins of E17, a place he refers to as his "kingdom". After Roland made contact via Share Language, Onica healed his hand which ended his pain. The PCs introduced him to Jhod Kavkin, the druid taking care of the shrine of Erastil in D17. Jhod couldn't do anything to fix his hand any further; however, perhaps in time more options will present themselves. Jhod and Garuum seemed interested in looking out for each other. Perhaps their proximity will be mutuality beneficial.

The PCs are welcome to stay in Garuum's kindgom whenever they like. Garuum and Ubagub will serve on watch as needed.

Ubagub

Garuum's Slurk. Seemingly part mount and part best friend. He is tame and friendly to the PCs.
