Gunter and Charles don't pick up anything in particular in the paper on first look. While talking with Nigel Wassif - Reporter for the Cairo Bulletin he also mentions nothing specific about the Clive Expedition, but that there have been several tomb robberies reported on in the surrounding area of the Bent Pyramid. They are called back relatively quickly and tell him about the things Father Quinn saw in the tunnels under the Sphinx like the doorway to hell, the wall of blackness, the ritual to resurrect Queen Nitocris on the walls, the destruction of the teleportation stele, and the weird hallway of fungus we had to travel Dr. Alli Kafour's attention is mostly on an Expedition to the Antarctic, but he is intrigued by what Father Quinn is describing.
