Event:1925/07/02 Day in Cairo

Woke up after excursion to the temple.

Mourning Victor takes a backseat and we split up to try and get more information.

Saleem and Father Quinn head to the museum to speak with Dr. Alli Kafour Gunter and Charles head to pick up some papers to look for information.

Gunter and Charles don't pick up anything in particular in the paper on first look. While talking with Nigel Wassif - Reporter for the Cairo Bulletin he also mentions nothing specific about the Clive Expedition, but that there have been several tomb robberies reported on in the surrounding area of the Bent Pyramid. With that nugget of information we leave and head to the Egyptian Museum

Saleem and Father Quinn arrive at the museum and ask to speak with Dr. Alli Kafour. They are called back relatively quickly and tell him about the things Father Quinn saw in the tunnels under the Sphinx like the doorway to hell, the wall of blackness, the ritual to resurrect Queen Nitocris on the walls, the destruction of the teleportation stele, and the weird hallway of fungus we had to travel Dr. Alli Kafour's attention is mostly on an Expedition to the Antarctic, but he is intrigued by what Father Quinn is describing. Shortly after, Gunter and Charles show up. We all discuss the various aspects of the ritual and Charles asks if Dr. Alli Kafour knows of any way to destroy the items or the mummy. Dr. Alli Kafour pulls out a number of books and says that the best way to find out is to search. We find that the ritual is likely to require the use of a spiritual person, and we know that Agatha Broadmour is attached to the Clive Expedition. With heavy hearts we make plans to head to the Bent Pyramid and try to confront her somehow.

We make plans for Gunter to get us in, and for Charles to pretend to be an emissary of the St. Dennis family looking to fund an expedition with Father Quinn as his spiritual advisor and Saleem as his translator.

We arrive that afternoon to the Bent Pyramid and Martin Winfield comes out to greet us after Gunter asks the guards to meet with him. After explaining that the St. Dennis family is considering funding an expedition in Egypt, Charles snaps his fingers and says he expects a tour immediately. Martin Winfield begrudgingly takes us to meet Dr. Henry Clive. We chat with him for a bit about funding. He offers to get Johanna Specht for us to talk to. She arrives and asks if she can help. She is very dismissive of Gunter and tells us her expertise is in hieroglyphics and the occult. Charles asks her what the point of this is, where is the money in it. She tells us that the knowledge gained shows that there will be a recording of things to let those of superior lineage be rewarded. Charles looks disappointed and asks about the artifacts, and if there is stuff heading to the British museum. Clive interrupts and says that the mummy they found was stolen and the guards are where the money is going. The expedition has nothing currently but hope to find more in the future. Charles insults Dr. Clive's doctorate and we get thrown out.

As we head out of Dr. Clive's tent, we see a pale, elderly, genteel woman wearing loose fitting clothing of a headscarf and flowing dress. Johanna Specht leaves and Dr. Clive tries to hustle us past the new woman, but we introduce ourselves and she says she is Agatha Broadmour and offers us a reading which we eagerly accept. Dr. Clive grits his teeth before allowing it and telling Martin Winfield to stay with us and be sure to escort us out when it's over. We follow Agatha into her tent where she sits down and closes her eyes before asking who would we like to speak to. Charles says Mary Elise St. Dennis, Gunter mentions his fiance [[Akila], Father Quinn speaks of Jackson Elias, and Saleem ask for contact with a slave that worked this pyramid.

Agatha tells all of us to concentrate on our choice and there is an uneasy feeling in the room, she speaks in a strange low voice to Father Quinn that Jackson Elias is with us. Father Quinn asks what he can tell us about his final expedition in Cairo. He says "That which is bent is perfect in the dark" and that there is no protection from this darkness.

At the same time, Saleem hears in his head, the words "I am here to make you an offer" Saleem thinks back "What offer?" and the voice says "What is it that you want?" Saleem asks for time before the Black Pharaoh

Appear in the desert, with nothing around us, as if the camp and everyone in it is gone. Our car is still waiting on the road, and we head back to Cairo, to see it is still the 2nd of July. Confused, we see the paper has information on Nyarlathotep and that it is possible to see him when he visits Cairo. Confused, we plan to head to Egyptian Museum to speak with Dr. Alli Kafour. He is surprised to see the change, as the newspaper didn't have any of this Nyarlathotep imagery when he read it in the morning. He says that it good that it seems that the protection is in place in Cairo.

Gunter and Charles head to the newspaper and find that the Clive Expedition has already somehow departed for London yesterday with their Queen Nitocris exhibit.

We meet back at the hotel to discuss. Saleem chooses to stay in Cairo to fight against
