What is Psyche?

How does the Amber Diceless RPG Guide define it?

"This is the rating of a character's mental strength" - Amber Diceless. It also shows the character's force of will and agility/ability to manipulate powers such as The Pattern, Logrus, Magic, Sorcery, or Trump. Those with high Psyche can be sensitive to danger and other things. Additionally, those with Psyche can engage in contests of the mind. A loser in such a contest can be killed by the power of the mind alone.
