in the base are obvious poorly repaired gouges on only one side (perhaps from Hugh Tylesman's attack
obelisk is 11ft tall 2 feet wide, grey black stone with 4 sides covered in heiroglyphs and apparently drinks liquids.
Hugh Tylesman was President of the Bannicker Park memorial committee (and received a commendation from the Metropolitan Council) and presumably oversaw the placement of the base and obelisk.
