Respected Egyptologist and founder of the Penhew Foundation

Assistant leader and in charge of excavations for the Carlyle Expedition

He was always interested in Egypt. Studied Egypt at Oxford. Impressive archeologist. Exploratory expeditions. Notable discovery with first cataract. Intersting discoveries in Dhashur.

Penhew was a polymath (good at many things), but dedicated his life to the study of archeology. Lieutenant in Yorkshire Guards from 1901-02. Colonel in the British Army from 1915-16, when he retired due to injury. Viscount of Pevensey. Traces nobility back to William the Conquerer. Has estates in Cotswold, Monaco, and Alexandria. Graduated with honors from Oxford. Not much about his private life - never married, no heirs. Estates now belong to the Penhew Foundation.[1]
