The tracks are Troll tracks (2-4 in number). They lead to the west.
We camp. Onica camaflages us

We had heard from the Fey that there is a Temple with a "mean" bear
We find a hollow under a pinetree, which has created a shelter.
Tuskgutter Appears!

Tuskgutter gores Grikk for 10 Damage
Onica heals Grikk for 6 Damage
Grikk holds his action
Kessler Embiggens Grikk
Modo attacks 2
Grikk attacks doing 18 Damage, slicing Tuskgutter's flank!
Rolland Shortbow hits for 6 Damadge
Tuskgutter attacks Grikk for 6 Damage
Onica heals Grikk for 8 Damage
Tyr remembers he's in a fight and attacks...hits for 7 Damage!

Roland checks in our indentured servents

He had learned about our group and the charter
He asks us to find the temple and that the bear is "angry"
He looks guarded when asked about the temple
We do accounting and have an exciting argument about the group fund
we sleep

Roland - Inspiring 2 round
Onica drew my bow
Bear roars and lumbers down the steps
Grikk draws bow and waits
Kessler
Modo is dismissed

Round 2

Onica holds bow and calls out to the Bear. The Bear appears Haunted.
Grikk - Missed
Roland moves and readies action so that when the bear gets in range to fire my bow with animal bane ...Crits and Hits for 20 damage! (-1 Bane Arrow)
Bear - Charges Annika and misses
Kessler summons an Eagle
Eagle
Eagle attacks and hits for

Round 3

Onica - Attacks with her bow... the Power of Erastil flows through her and the arrow hits for 2 damage! It looks like it did more damage.
Tyr - Attacks and does 5 Damage... Killing it!

The bear turns into a man... who gives us a look of thanks.. before turning to dusk
The Shrine is restored magically....

Back to the Temple

We find bones and other things from the bear
The construction is Taldorian
Taldor is a nation way to the south
We clean up the grounds
We explore the rest of the hex and camp at the temple

We explore - Forrest Hex
We all notice a small heard of 6 Elk, perhaps these are good hunting grounds
We notice a sulfurous smell
The smell gets stronger
We come upon a river... it's the "Skunk River"
We travel north along the river
We find a pond and springs
Our approach disturbs 2 frogs

Combat - 2 Frog!

Round 1

Giant Frogs - The move forward
Grikk - Casts color spray, they resist
Roland - Inspire Courage - Round 1
Onica - Attacks one and hits Frog 1 for 5
Kessler - Embiggens Grikk
Modo - Charges and...

Round 2

Giant Frogs - Frogs attacks Kessel and Modo and grapples them
Grikk - Attacks the Frog.... 18 damage
Roland - Inspire Courage - Round 2; Hits the remaining frog for 2 damage
Onica -
Tyr does 10 damage and knocks it prone
Kessler -
Modo - goes Feral and jumps the Frog doing... 5 damage

We relax in the hot springs
Continue exploring and finish exploring the hex

We come across a small glade
Come across a corpse that is being pinned by several large logs that look to be pinning
Looks like a hunter--we don't recognize him--looks like they crushed themselves
Modo sees like the ropes aren't frayed they were cut
Papers identify him as Breeg Orlivanch - Roland takes the papers.
We bury him.
We finish exploring this hex
This is also the source of the Thorn River

We stake out the trap we find and no one comes through

  • Older Verisian (Dark skin, grey hair, and unruly beard).
Breeg Orlivanch - Took cruel entertainment in hiding his traps.
He was a bad man. Oleg is happy that he's gone.
Kobolds in the South East
Bandits activity has decreased

Our plan for next time is to explore: B5, C5, D5, and E4 before swinging back up to Oleg's to the east
