Translated for the investigators by Professor Mu Hsien at the request of Jack Brady in Shanghai.

The translations of the tell us that to make a new Eye of Light and Darkness, we need to drip blood on a freshly carved eye for an entire night during the rise and fall of the full moon while chanting and no evil is anywhere near it.

Experiences with Ancient Text

We carved a new Eye of Light and Darkness on Grey Dragon Island, performed the appropriate chanting under the rise and fall of the full moon on May 8, 1925 while defending the site from the approach of any evil. At the culmination, the [[Eye of Light and Darkness|eye] opens and begins glowing a brilliant white light briefly, and then ceases, but the assault of evil forces also ceases.
