Dr. Alli Kafour tells us many of the legends surrounding the Black Pharaoh. At the end of the 3rd dynasty in Egypt, a man called Nephren-ka came to Egypt. He is thought to have been a powerful sorcerer. It was said that he could bring madness or death to his enemies with a flick of his finger. His voice was called the Black Wind and it went through the lands destroying everything in it's path. It is not clear if Nephren-ka was the Black Pharaoh himself or his head priest. The inverted ankh was a symbol carried by both of them. The Black Pharaoh and/or Nephren-ka ruled Egypt for several dynasties. They were said to possess a huge beast similar to the sphinx near the Giza. There is evidence that there are still horrifying cults that worship the the Black Pharaoh today. These cults are also rumored to be involved with the worship of a beautiful but evil Queen known as Nitocris.
