Victor and Curtis go to the library for some research. Victor researches The Lord of the Abyss. Curtis sends telegrams to London asking after Jonah Kensington, then researches Fat Maybelle's and Pitchblende. Later in the day, Curtis visits his fiancée.
Elise spends the day reading Africa's Dark Sects.
